Original Back Ribs | Net carbs: ~14g

Order: Original Back Ribs (Half, Regular, or Full) Hot with Coleslaw & Broccoli, Caesar Salad no croutons to start

Make sure you specify hot (don’t worry, they’re not really hot!).  If not, they’ll come with BBQ sauce that’s loaded with sugar.  As it is, the hot sauce that comes on these ribs probably has a bit of sugar, but it’s certainly not as sweet as a BBQ sauce would be.  They were good ribs, and I didn’t miss the sugar-loaded BBQ sauce.

The only real downer here is the sides.  You can pick two sides with your meal, but if you’re trying to keep it relatively low carb, the coleslaw and seasoned broccoli are really your only decent options. Everything else is either potato or rice, or brown beans.  If you’re not particularly strict, you could probably get away with the brown beans (full disclosure: that’s what I actually had instead of the coleslaw).  I didn’t have my tester with me, but I didn’t feel any of the effects of spiking blood sugar, so I suspect it wasn’t really all that bad.  Your milage may vary.
