The Peasant Cookery is a French-inspired restaurant in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg at the corner of King and Bannatyne that boasts “real food from the land”.  It’s immediately easy for me to get behind that philosophy toward food and cooking.  This meal comes in a little on the high side for carbs, but you could knock a couple grams off if you asked to substitue green beans for the white bean.  Either way, you’re likely not eating like this every day, so unless you’re looking for extremely strict low carb, you’ll enjoy this meal.
