As is the case with many fine dining establishments and, in particular, those dishes that are inspired by French cuisine, many tend to have anywhere from a little to a lot of hidden carbs. Rich sauces often use flour, starches, and sugar. However, unless you are very insulin resistant or trying to maintain ketosis, you’ll probably do fine to have a meal like this once in a while. The ‘devil’ here is in the herbed mushroom demi-glaze and, truthfully, I don’t know what the carb count is. I don’t imagine it’s strikingly high, but it’s something to watch for if you’re particularly concerned about keeping strictly low carb.
For most of us, though, this little indulgence is worth it for such a nice meal.
